Kyle Rank, Esq.
A business attorney with more than 30 years of experience in the title insurance industry, bringing extensive expertise in real estate operations and corporate strategy. He has held executive leadership positions at regional title insurance underwriters valued between $170 million and $250 million, as well as multi-state title agencies, where he played a key role in driving business development, strategic expansion, and long-term revenue growth.
Widely recognized within the industry, he continues to serve as a speaker and panelist at numerous land title association conferences across the United States. He has also taught Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses through the National Business Institute and holds the prestigious Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (MQ/OE) certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Washburn University School of Law.
In supporting Japanese companies, he provides strategic legal guidance as well as practical advisory services related to real estate, business operations, and market entry into the United States. Combining legal expertise with executive-level business experience, he helps companies navigate the complexities of U.S. expansion with a practical and solutions-oriented approach.

Junko Goodyear
After leading multiple Japanese companies specializing in education, sports, and marketing for more than 20 years, she relocated to the United States in 2010 and has since built a career focused on cross-cultural branding, international business strategy, and educational program development. Drawing on extensive experience bridging Japan and the U.S., she has participated in a wide range of projects involving both government agencies and private-sector organizations. She currently serves as an official supporter of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Hands-on Support Program for Economic Exchange with Texas, and is widely recognized in Texas as a leader fostering international business relationships and cross-border collaboration.
She is also well known as a producer in the fields of publishing and performing arts. To date, she has planned and produced more than 100 books and nearly 20 DVD titles. Her most notable publishing projects include the bestselling The 1% Work Tips That 99% of People Don’t Practice by Eitaro Kono, which has sold over 1.8 million copies in Japan. In the performing arts world, she has been involved in major productions including overseas performances by the Takarazuka Revue and Yuming Spectacle Shangri-La III starring Yumi Matsutoya. As Executive Producer, she also led Tomoe and Yoshinaka, a collaborative production combining traditional Japanese Noh theater with opera.
Currently, she oversees Global Engagement for the Texas-based nonprofit arts organization Musical Bridges Around The World, while continuing to promote Japanese arts and culture throughout the United States. Her work in introducing Japanese cultural traditions to international audiences has received growing recognition within both the cultural and business communities.
She also serves as a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Generativity Research at Kwansei Gakuin University and contributes regularly to media outlets including Jiji Press’s Kinyu Zaisei Business, along with numerous other publications and serialized columns.

Curtis Tarwater
Zipang USA Chief Architect and Director of Energy & Project Strategy. With a background in physics and mathematics, he has spent more than 34 years at the forefront of the energy, technology, and business development sectors as a mechanical engineer and strategic project leader. Over the course of his career, he has founded and led multiple companies while overseeing complex initiatives spanning business formation, project management, investment analysis, regulatory strategy, and contract negotiations.
He is particularly recognized for his expertise in next-generation energy sectors including AI infrastructure, data centers, cryptocurrency, and renewable energy. His strength lies in combining market analysis, pro forma development, feasibility assessment, and regulatory navigation into actionable, execution-focused strategies. Rather than remaining at the level of theory or advisory, he specializes in guiding projects through real-world implementation, market entry, operational development, and technical integration.
He also maintains a deep appreciation and understanding of Japanese culture and industry, with a strong interest in the untapped global potential of Japan’s regional resources, technologies, and industrial strengths. At Zipang USA, he plays a central role in reinterpreting Japanese culture, technology, and regional assets through a global market perspective, building strategic bridges between Japan and the United States. Kaspian Verma
Zipang USA Sales Director. A finance and real estate professional with extensive experience in real estate lending and investment projects across the United States, he also operates his own real estate advisory firm. Throughout his career, he has provided innovative financing solutions to developers and landowners nationwide, helping structure and support large-scale real estate and investment initiatives. More recently, he played a leading role in launching a new division focused on serving institutional investors through an open-ended debt fund platform.
In addition to his work in finance and real estate, he previously served as a Branded Entertainment Manager for Mercedes-Benz, where he managed more than $20 million in client assets and oversaw brand strategy and product placement initiatives for television programs and major motion pictures. His expertise in strategic partnerships, contract negotiation, and brand marketing has consistently delivered high-impact results across multiple industries.
At Zipang USA, he is responsible for shaping and communicating Japanese cultural and commercial value through new forms of interpretation and branding for the American and global markets. By combining market strategy, storytelling, and brand development, he leads projects designed to connect the intrinsic value of Japan with audiences around the world. Originally from London, England, he brings an international perspective to cross-cultural business and branding initiatives.

Hisakazu Hirabayashi
Zipang USA Knowledge Director. Widely recognized as a leading authority in Japanese culture, the gaming industry, and intellectual content, he has spent decades researching and communicating the unique value embedded within Japanese society and creative industries. After joining the publishing company Takarajimasha, he became the founding editor of a pioneering gaming magazine. In 1991, anticipating the future growth of the gaming industry long before it became mainstream, he established Interact Co., Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in the game sector. Through talent development, strategic advisory services, and support for new market entrants, he has contributed significantly to the growth and evolution of Japan’s gaming industry.
He is the author of works including The University of Games and Current Issues in Gaming. He also conceived, structured, and appeared in the comprehensive 100-part e-learning series Learn the History of Games in Depth, which traces the evolution of gaming from ancient Mesopotamian play tools to modern virtual reality technologies. In addition, he serves as a board member of the Japan Game Culture Promotion Foundation.

Craig Davies
Zipang USA Technology & Systems Strategy Lead. After serving in the British Army, he built a career spanning more than 15 years in the technology sector as a systems consultant and business optimization specialist. Based in the Greater San Antonio area, he founded the veteran-owned consultancy Davies Digital Solutions, where he focuses on helping small and mid-sized businesses implement digital transformation strategies, operational automation, and scalable business systems.
His core mission is to bridge the gap between the sophisticated systems and automation tools traditionally accessible only to large enterprises and the smaller businesses that need them just as much. Rather than simply introducing technology, he specializes in integrating operational improvement, automation, and strategic system design into practical, results-driven solutions that create a more level and competitive business environment.
He is also known for his relentless curiosity and commitment to continuous learning. Whether exploring emerging automation platforms, AI tools, workflow optimization, or entirely new fields outside of technology, he approaches every challenge with a deep research-driven mindset.
